<-- This book is about the real person, Mary Anning. As it says in Stone Girl Bone Girl, Mary Anning was born in 1799 and lived all of her life in Lyme Regis in Dorset. At 15 months old, she survived a lightening strike. She loved hunting for fossils with her little dog. At age 12, she discovered the great ichthyosaurus. This was an amazing find! Read this book to find out more about Mary Anning.
